The pilot, launched by RBI Governor Sanjay Malhotra, will be conducted in Maharashtra in partnership with CSC e-Governance Services India Limited.
It aims to conduct in-person awareness sessions for 10 lakh participants in rural and semi-urban areas through Village Level Entrepreneurs (VLEs).

He also urged stakeholders to collaborate to enhance public confidence in the adoption and use of digital payment systems.
The RBI also launched a multi-media awareness campaign titled“Thoda Dhyan Se”, encouraging users to remain cautious while making online payments and conducting digital transactions.
