It warns that during crises and periods of tension, fake content spreads quickly across platforms, and people who don't know much about the technology might easily believe it.
AI used for misinformationThe campaign acknowledges that artificial intelligence is a positive technological revolution that benefits people across many fields. However, it stresses that some are misusing it to spread rumours and fabricate events that never happened.
What you should doThe video ends with a direct set of instructions to the public: do not take news from anything other than official sources; do not share any image or video before verifying it; do not save such images or videos on your phone and let them end with you.
Digital Dubai has strengthened community awareness of rapid digital transformation through several initiatives, most notably the“Be Aware” campaign. The initiative gained international recognition at the World Summit on the Information Society 2024, where it was ranked among the world's best media initiatives, highlighting the importance of self-awareness as the first line of defence in cybersecurity.
