Moci Releases Clarification Statement Regarding Alleged Al Mazroua Suspicious Commercial Practices Video
Doha, Qatar: The Ministry of Commerce and Industry issued a statement in reference to a circulating video alleging that shop owners in the Al Mazroua area are engaging in suspicious commercial practices aimed at manipulating prices and exploiting consumers.
The Ministry of Commerce and Industry confirmed that the details mentioned in the video are not accurate, and that the matter has been referred to the relevant authorities.
The Ministry also confirmed that its field inspection teams continue to carry out intensive inspection campaigns across retail outlets and markets to ensure that suppliers comply with the provision of essential goods, maintain price stability, and detect any violations or improper practices.
The Ministry stressed that it will not hesitate to take strict legal action against anyone who violates commercial regulations, including those who increase prices, exploit current circumstances to monopolize goods, or engage in suspicious commercial practices, in accordance with the applicable laws and regulations in the State.
The Ministry also called on consumers to report any observations or violations through the Ministry's official channels, obtain information from official sources only, and refrain from circulating rumors or being misled by them.
