Azerbaijan Tallies Its Garadagh Solar Power Plant's Output Capacity
"As Azerbaijan expands its renewable energy capacity, we are witnessing the next stage of development – the integration of various generation sources into a balanced and sustainable energy system," he said.
Sadikhov noted that Masdar is proud to contribute to this process.
"Our partnership in Azerbaijan began with the construction of the 230 MW Garadagh solar power plant – the country's first industrial-scale solar project implemented with foreign investment. This project demonstrated Azerbaijan's ability to attract international capital for renewable energy projects, develop local expertise, and implement complex infrastructure at a high level," he noted.
The director of Masdar Azerbaijan added that today the plant provides reliable and affordable electricity to more than 100,000 households and is part of Azerbaijan's more diversified energy balance.
"To date, it has generated more than 1 billion 100 thousand kilowatt-hours of 'green' energy, supplied to the national energy grid," he said.
