Moph, Ngos Ink $7.7 Agreement To Expand Health Services In 19 Provinces
As per the agreement, nearly 600,000 people will benefit from healthcare services across 19 provinces of the country.
In a statement, the ministry said the contract with Malaysia Semiconductor Industry Association (MSIA) would strengthen and expand health services for residents of Kabul, Nangarhar, Kapisa, Badakhshan, Takhar, Kunduz, Baghlan, Balkh, Jowzjan, Faryab, Herat, Kandahar, Helmand, Samangan, Ghor, Bamyan, Paktia, Khost and Farah.
It said the agreement was valued at $7,730,125.
The statement added that the project aims to improve the quality of healthcare, increase access and reduce health-related challenges for local communities.
Once implemented, around 600,000 people in the targeted provinces would benefit from primary and specialised healthcare services, while 404 individuals will be provided employment opportunities in various health sectors, MoPH concluded.
