Jordan, Regional States, United States Condemn Iran's Indiscriminate Attacks On Sovereign Territories
(MENAFN- Jordan News Agency)
Amman, March 2 (Petra) – Jordan, the United Arab Emirates, Bahrain, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Kuwait, and the United States on Monday issued a joint statement strongly condemning Iran's indiscriminate missile and unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) attacks targeting sovereign territories across the region.
The statement said the strikes affected Bahrain, Iraq, the Kurdistan Region of Iraq, Jordan, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, and the United Arab Emirates, describing them as unjustified assaults that violated national sovereignty, endangered civilian populations, and caused damage to civilian infrastructure.
According to the statement, the attacks constitute a serious escalation that undermines the sovereignty of multiple states and threatens regional stability, stressing that targeting civilian areas and countries not party to hostilities constitutes reckless conduct that further destabilizes the region.
The countries underscored their unified position in safeguarding their citizens, sovereignty, and territorial integrity, reaffirming their inherent right to self-defense and commitment to regional security. They also highlighted the effectiveness of joint air and missile defense coordination, which mitigated potential casualties and limited material damage.
