Filming, Sharing Incident Footage Could Result In Legal Accountability: MOI

Doha, Qatar: After repeated alerts against gathering at incident sites, the Ministry of Interior has now issued two warnings against filming and sharing videos related to ongoing field developments.

It stressed that circulation or publication of rumours constitute a violation leading to legal accountability.

In a social media notice, it said, "The Ministry of Interior warns against gathering at or heading to incident sites, or photographing and sharing videos related to ongoing field developments, to avoid legal accountability."

It added that such behaviour hinders the work of competent authorities, including smooth movement of ambulance vehicles, Civil Defense units and security patrol, affecting response speed and public safety.
