Ukraine Will Receive First $1.5B Tranche From IMF In Coming Weeks MP


(MENAFN- UkrinForm) Oleksii Leonov, a member of the parliamentary committee on finance, tax and customs policy and a member of the Servant of the People faction, announced this on television, according to an Ukrinform correspondent.

"We have fulfilled all the commitments [to the IMF] and expect to receive $1.5 billion in the near future, within the coming weeks," Leonov said.

He recalled that the IMF had set three key requirements. The first was the timely adoption of a balanced state budget for 2026. The second was submitting a new Labor Code to the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine for consideration, and the third was equalizing conditions for VAT payers participating in public tenders and procurement.

According to Leonov, all of these requirements have been fulfilled.

On February 27, the IMF's Executive Board approved a new four-year Extended Fund Facility for Ukraine worth $8.1 billion.
