Injuries in Qatar Increase to Sixteen After Iran’s Retaliatory Strikes
(MENAFN) Qatari authorities announced that the number of people wounded has increased to 16 after Iran launched retaliatory attacks in response to recent US and Israeli military operations.
In a statement, the Interior Ministry said that security forces and civil defense teams promptly activated emergency response plans in coordination with other concerned bodies.
Preliminary assessments and on-site reports indicated that eight additional injuries were recorded, raising the overall toll since the attacks began on Saturday to 16.
Officials also confirmed that several locations sustained minor material damage.
The ministry explained that the measures taken are intended to protect the public, maintain the continuous delivery of essential services, and strengthen readiness in the event of further developments.
According to the statement, early warning sirens and alert systems are only triggered when additional precautionary steps are necessary to preserve public safety.
Residents and citizens were advised to strictly follow official guidance, remain indoors unless absolutely necessary, avoid approaching any suspicious objects, and report such findings through the designated emergency hotline.
Authorities further urged the public not to visit impacted sites, stressing that keeping those areas clear would enable ambulance crews, civil defense personnel and security units to carry out their duties efficiently.
