A Dubai resident from a small fishing village in Sri Lanka never thought a luxury car could belong in his life, not even as a distant dream. Yet in a life-changing moment, years of savings led him to an extraordinary reward: He became the winner of a gold Mercedes Benz S-Class 500.

His win was the headline moment of Dubai Gold District's 'Shop & Win' campaign, which ran from December 11 to February 8. During the campaign, shoppers received one raffle entry for every Dh500 spent at participating gold, jewellery and watch stores across the District.
