Israeli Airstrikes Continue in Gaza

(MENAFN) At least 12 Palestinians lost their lives and several others sustained injuries in Israeli aerial assaults throughout the Gaza Strip on Sunday, marking what the Civil Defense described as a renewed breach of the Oct. 10 ceasefire agreement.

The organizations reported that the casualties resulted from ongoing Israeli shelling targeting multiple locations across the territory since the early hours of the morning.

A medical official confirmed that five individuals were killed and others were hurt when an airstrike struck a group of civilians southwest of Khan Younis in southern Gaza.

In a separate incident, four more people died after a drone attack hit a tent sheltering displaced residents in the Al-Faluja district west of Jabalia town, according to paramedics and eyewitnesses.

Additionally, one Palestinian was killed and several others were wounded in an Israeli strike aimed at a civilian gathering near the University College in the Tal al-Hawa neighborhood, southwest of Gaza City. Another attack claimed one life and left three others injured near the western Beit Lahia roundabout in northern Gaza, sources indicated.

Details about the circumstances surrounding the death of the 12th victim were not immediately disclosed.

In a separate development, Israeli forces conducted widespread demolitions of Palestinian homes northeast of the Jabalia refugee camp. The operation was accompanied by intense artillery bombardment and gunfire from Israeli military vehicles deployed in the vicinity.
