Al Ahmadi Sports Day Enhances Societal Interaction

KUWAIT, Feb 12 (KUNA) -- In festive atmospheres showing societal participation which coincides with Kuwait's national days celebration, Al Ahmadi sport day kick-started on Thursday, in the presence of Al Ahmadi Governor Sheikh Humoud Jaber Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah.
Co-organized by the Kuwait Oil Company and Al Ahmadi Governorate, the three-day event is held for the third year in a row at Al Ahmadi Park to create spaces for families and individuals to spend amusing time and partake in entertainment contests, along sport, technical and cultural activities.
Such an event contributes to boosting societal internation and cementing sport culture as a healthy life.
Sport is a cornerstone in shaping a healthy and balanced society as it plays a key role in boosting social bonds and planting positive values.
This method shows concerted efforts of national institutions and official bodies to back initiatives which embody a shared vision toward developing the society and stimulating all groups to get engaged in varied heritage, cultural and sport activities. (end)
