Qatar And US Review Economic, Trade Ties

Doha, Qatar: Minister of State for Foreign Trade Affairs, H E Dr. Ahmed bin Mohammed Al-Sayed, met with a number of US officials during an official visit to Washington, DC.

During the visit, His Excellency held meetings with H E Jeffrey Kessler, Under Secretary of Commerce for Industry and Security; H E Michael Kratsios, Director of the White House Office of Science and Technology Policy; and H E David Copley, Special Assistant to the President of the United States and Senior Director for Global Supply Chains at the National Security Council.

The meetings reviewed ways to strengthen economic and trade relations between the State of Qatar and the United States, in addition to discussing a number of issues of mutual interest.

The Minister of State for Foreign Trade Affairs emphasized the importance of the partnership between the two countries across multiple fields, including economy, trade, and investment, noting that this partnership continues to develop, reflecting the strength of bilateral relations and the shared desire of both sides to further enhance them in the future.
