Profile Articles Activity

My completed degrees include a B.A. in International Affairs and Modern Languages (French) from Northern Arizona University, as well as an M.Sc. in Political Science from the Université de Montréal. My thesis project for my master's was on Indigenous social movements against pipeline projects in Canada and the United States. After completing my master's degree I worked for two years for an education-focussed non-profit organization operating in Indigenous communities in Québec. Since 2022, I have worked as a Project Development Offer for the School Operations department of the Cree School Board. While living in the Cree Nation of Mistissini for two years, I substituted at the local elementary school on occasion, and ran an after-school Tae Kwon Do program for all youth. In 2024 I started my PhD in Political Science at the University of Ottawa. My thesis project, which was offered the FRQSC as well as the OSG doctoral scholarship in April 2025, is on varieties of political intervention in state-sanctioned schooling in both Canada and the United States. I have previously published peer-reviewed articles on the topic of schooling, Indigeneity, and racialization in Possibles (2020), Policy Futures in Education (2023), Ethnic Studies Review (2023), and the Journal of Curriculum Studies (2024).
