KP CM Afridi Raises Relief Package For Kurram Displaced, Launches Key Health And Education Upgrades
Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Muhammad Sohail Afridi during his visit to District Kurram, met the Temporary Displaced persons of Central Kurram and after listening their issues on the spot issued directives for their immediate resolution.
The Chief Minister announced an increase in the relief package for operation-affected families in Kurram from Rs 110,000 to Rs 230,000, adding that displaced persons living with host families would also be entitled to the relief package.
He said that all affected families would be provided assistance on the same pattern as that given to the displaced persons of District Khyber. Emphasizing social harmony, the Chief Minister said that society must move forward by setting aside mutual and sectarian differences and focusing on development and prosperity.
He also announced the resolution of the long standing issue of dual addresses of tribal displaced persons. While speaking to the affected families, the Chief Minister assured them that all their demands would be reviewed in detail and that all relief packages would be extended to them on the pattern of District Khyber.

Addressing the gathering, he stated that the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government would not abandon the victims and would ensure all possible assistance. He said that tribal people have rendered immense sacrifices for the country, leaving behind their homes and livelihoods, and their sacrifices cannot be ignored.
The Chief Minister directed the relevant authorities to ensure maximum facilities for the affected families of Kurram and reiterated that the provincial government stands firmly with them and will utilize all available resources to address their issues.
Meanwhile, the Chief Minister also visited Tehsil Headquarters Hospital Sadda, where he inaugurated its upgradation from Category C to Category B.
He also inaugurated the Emergency Block at Sadda Hospital, Marghan Road in Central Kurram, and the Residential Block of Government Degree College Sadda. Provincial Minister for Relief Aqibullah and Chief Secretary Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Shahab Ali Shah accompanied the Chief Minister during the visit.
