Andrea Webster
- Snr research fellow, University of Pretoria
Senior fellow with the Mammal Research Institute, University of Pretoria. My research as an environmental biologist and interdisciplinary ecotoxicologist integrates ecology, physiology, contaminant monitoring and climate-related environmental change to understand and protect African ecosystems. I combine non-invasive wildlife monitoring, ecological modelling and field-based ecology with various analytical approaches to evaluate wildlife-environment interactions, contamination pathways, and ecosystem processes. I link biological mechanisms with applied conservation management and policy for application to ecosystem health assessment, wildlife monitoring and the sustainable management to address issues of biodiversity loss, environmental pollution and conservation management.
Experience- 2021–present Postdoctoral research fellow, Mammal Research Institute
