Dr Caleb H Wheeler is a senior lecturer in law at Cardiff University in Wales where he teaches public international law, international criminal law and international humanitarian law. Dr Wheeler has published two books, Fairness and the Goals of International Criminal Trials and The Right To Be Present At Trial In International Criminal Law. He is currently co-editing the second edition of the Routledge Handbook of International Criminal Law. He has also authored numerous articles, book chapters and blog posts in the areas of international criminal law and public international law.

Prior to getting his PhD, Dr Wheeler qualified as an attorney in the United States and maintained an active litigation practice in state and federal courts in Pennsylvania and New Jersey. He primarily represented plaintiffs and defendants in first and third party insurance claims but also handled several federal civil rights matters and employment discrimination cases.
