Kuwait Education Ministry Emphasizes Keeping Pace With Global Education Challenges

MUSCAT, Feb 4 (KUNA) -- Kuwait's Ministry of Education on Wednesday affirmed keenness to keep pace with global transformations in the teaching profession to supports education development aligned with the artificial intelligence era.
This came in the ministry's statement following the participation of Minister of Education Jalal Al-Tabtabaei and his accompanying delegation in the International Conference on the Teaching Profession (ICTP), held in the Sultanate of Oman under the theme "Sustainable Education in the Age of Artificial Intelligence."
It explained that the participation comes within the framework of ongoing efforts to review best international practices and exchange expertise with global educational institutions and experiences in developing the teaching profession and building educational capacities.
ICTP, which discusses the future of the teaching profession worldwide, includes dialogue sessions focusing on empowering teachers in the age of artificial intelligence without replacing them, and transforming the teaching profession, educational leadership and addressing the global shortage of teachers.
The conference also features interactive workshops on sustainable professional development and inclusive education in the age of artificial intelligence, and sessions highlighting the role of teachers as educational leaders capable of effectively employing technology to serve educational goals.
Kuwait's delegation to the conference includes Assistant Undersecretary for Educational Affairs Hamad Al-Hamad and Director General of Educational Districts Mohammad Al-Wazzan.
The two-day conference is organized by Oman's Ministry of Education with the participation of more than 400 figures, including education ministers from the GCC countries, experts from regional and international organizations, the Islamic World Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (ICESCO), Education International, the Arab Bureau of Education for the Gulf States, as well as specialists in artificial intelligence, school principals and teachers from the Gulf region.
