Israeli Occupation Cancels Travel Of Third Batch Of Patients Via Rafah Crossing

(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) GAZA, Feb 4 (KUNA) - The Palestinian Red Crescent Society (PRCS) said on Wednesday that the Israeli occupation authorities had cancelled the travel of the third batch of patients from the Gaza Strip through the Rafah land crossing.
PRCS media spokesperson Raed Al-Nims said in a press statement that the relevant authorities had informed the Society of the Israeli occupation's decision to halt the departure of the third group of patients via the Rafah crossing.
He explained that during the two days the crossing was opened, 21 patients and 55 companions were able to travel.
Al-Nims stressed that what has been achieved so far does not meet the minimum level of the massive needs amid the ongoing war, noting that the Palestinian Red Crescent Society will continue its efforts to evacuate wounded and critically ill patients to receive treatment abroad.
This came as Israeli occupation fighter jets launched a series of air raids and heavy artillery shelling targeting residential homes east of Gaza City and a tent sheltering displaced persons in the southern Gaza Strip, resulting in casualties, including children. (end)
