LONDON - Pioneering headphone brand Shokz has appointed The Academy as its retained UK consumer lead agency.
The Academy will lead the global electronics company's UK consumer communications, covering key product launches, press office, and talent activations with Shokz-sponsored triathletes, road runners and trail runners around the world. The agency will also amplify major brand partnerships, including Shokz' sponsorship of the London Marathon.
Shokz previously worked with The PHA Group on UK consumer PR.
Founded in 2011, Shokz is focused on acoustic technology innovation and is best known for its development of "open-ear" wireless headphones (pictured), which using bone conduction technology allow wearers to immerse themselves in the audio while still being fully aware of their surroundings.
The brand has expanded its global footprint to more than 60 countries and regions and has sold over 19 million headphones worldwide.
Shokz UK marketing PR specialist Nicole Nian said:“We were looking for an agency that could deliver best-in-class media relations, while also being able to reach our consumer through social media.
