'Shabu' Hidden In Audio Speakers Seized At Hamad Port: Qatar Customs
Doha, Qatar: The Anti-Smuggling and Harmful Trade Practices Department at Qatar Customs has thwarted an attempt to smuggle the narcotic substance methamphetamine, commonly known as 'Shabu', seizing 1.84 kilograms concealed in a shipment.
The attempt was uncovered following the suspicion of a customs inspector, prompting closer scrutiny of one of the shipments arriving via Hamad Port. After reviewing the paperwork and supporting documents of the customs declaration, the container was subjected to advanced inspection devices.
The narcotic substance was found hidden inside the hollow compartments of audio speakers. The total weight of the seized drugs was found to be 1.84 kilograms.
