Breakthrough In Tirah Valley As Jirga Reaches Agreement
A jirga between the district administration of Khyber and a 24-member representative committee of Tirah Valley has successfully concluded, with both sides reaching a formal agreement on the evacuation and rehabilitation process.
Under the agreement, the evacuation of the Tirah Valley plain will begin on January 10 and will be completed by January 30. Both parties have formally signed the accord.
According to official sources, the phased return of affected families will start after April 5, following the completion of the military operation in the area.

Each affected family will also be given Rs250,000 in cash assistance after biometric verification, along with a monthly stipend of Rs50,000. The government will additionally ensure transportation facilities, medical services along the routes, and the provision of food for the displaced families during the evacuation process.
Biometric verification will be carried out at Bagh Markaz and Pandi Chena. Families that relocated before January 10 will also be included in the process after verification and survey.
Official sources stated that all measures are being taken with transparency and with the convenience of the affected population in mind, to ensure that the evacuation and rehabilitation process is completed in an organized and orderly manner.
