Trump Adds 6 More Countries To US Travel Ban
KABUL (Pajhwok): US President Donald Trump has expanded the list of countries whose citizens are barred from entering the United States, adding six more nations, including Palestine and Syria.
The White House announced the expansion on Tuesday as part of an intensified crackdown on immigration, according to Al Jazeera. The newly added countries are Palestine, Burkina Faso, Mali, Nigeria, South Sudan and Syria.
Meanwhile, responding to a shooting in Washington, D.C., that wounded two National Guard members, President Trump said he would“permanently halt” immigration from what he described as“all third-world countries.”
Earlier, Trump signed an executive order banning entry for citizens of 12 countries, including Afghanistan, while imposing restrictions on travelers from seven others. The White House confirmed that the travel ban on those 12 countries remains in effect.
