King Charles responds well to cancer treatment

(MENAFN) King Charles has shared “good news” about his cancer, stating that early detection and effective treatment have allowed his therapy to be scaled back in the coming year, according to a pre-recorded video aired on Channel 4 for the Stand Up To Cancer campaign. He described the progress as both a personal blessing and a testament to advances in cancer care.

While the specific type of cancer has not been disclosed, the update marks the most significant public information about his health since his diagnosis in February 2024. Charles emphasized the importance of early diagnosis, adherence to medical guidance, and effective intervention, noting that these factors have enabled a reduction in his treatment schedule for the new year.

Buckingham Palace confirmed that the king has “responded exceptionally well to treatment,” prompting doctors to move his care into a precautionary phase. Although the frequency of treatment will be substantially reduced, Charles, 77, has not been described as in remission or cured, and monitoring and care will continue.
