Türkiye's BIST 100 Index Ends Up on Monday


(MENAFN) Türkiye’s primary stock gauge concluded Monday at 11,116.45 points, marking a 2% upswing.

Commencing the session at 10,898.10 points, the Borsa Istanbul’s BIST 100 index advanced by 217.75 points relative to Friday’s finish.

Throughout the day, the index dipped to its lowest level of 10,870.07, while reaching an intraday peak of 11,125.72.

The BIST 100’s total market capitalization hovered near 10.5 trillion Turkish liras ($247.6 billion), accompanied by a trading turnover of 135.3 billion liras ($3.2 billion).

A majority of listed shares performed positively, with 84 stocks registering gains and 15 declining compared to the prior session.

In commodity markets, gold stood at $4,224 per ounce, whereas Brent crude oil was priced at $63.30 per barrel as of 6.30 pm local time (1530GMT).

Regarding currency movements, the US dollar/Turkish lira rate was 42.4400, the euro/Turkish lira stood at 49.4075, and the British pound traded at 56.2400 liras.
