Shampa Roy-Mukherjee

Dr Shampa Roy-Mukherjee is the Vice Dean and Professor in Economics at the Royal Docks School of Business and Law, University of East London. She is also the Co-Director of two research centres - Centre for the Study of States Markets and People and the Noon Centre for Equality and Diversity.
Shampa received a PhD in Economics from the University of Birmingham and subsequently joined the American University in Cairo as an Assistant Professor. Her duties there included teaching in the areas of macroeconomics, econometrics and development economics. She joined the University of East London in February 2007 as a lecturer in economics. Her research interests are in the areas of macro and monetary economics, development economics and applied econometrics. Shampa is a member of the Royal Economic Society and a Senior Fellow of the Higher Education Academy.
