Panama's New Bugaba Hospital Writes Its First Live Life Story -

(MENAFN- Newsroom Panama) Just one day after opening its doors, the newly opened José Félix Espinosa Barroso Hospital is already celebrating a moment that will be marked in its history: the birth of its first baby, an event that confirms that the new health facility started off on the right foot. The baby girl was born at 9:17 p.m. weighing 2.8 kilograms, in a delivery attended by the medical team operating in this initial phase. Both she and her mother, a resident of Bugabita, are in excellent condition, according to the medical staff.

The hospital was inaugurated on November 27 by President José Raúl Mulino and the Minister of Health, Fernando Boyd Galindo, during an event that brought together authorities, officials and residents who had been waiting for years for a project of this level in the region. For its first 90 days, the center will only offer emergency services while it gradually opens specialties and medical areas. Even so, its impact is already being felt: more than 117,000 residents of Bugaba, Tierras Altas, Barú, and nearby communities will benefit from faster, more modern, and more accessible care.
