Turkey, Saudi Arabia discuss new trade opportunities


(MENAFN) New trade opportunities between Türkiye and Saudi Arabia were discussed on Friday during the Türkiye-Saudi Arabia Business Forum in Istanbul, held as part of the 11th World Halal Summit, according to reports.

Organized by Türkiye’s Foreign Economic Relations Board (DEIK), the forum focused on sectors and proposals aimed at boosting commercial ties between the two nations.

The event, which began on Wednesday, brought together industry participants under the theme “Strengthening Halal Industry via Innovation and Excellence.” The 11th World Halal Summit and Expo runs from November 26 to 29, under the Turkish presidency, with support from the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), the Turkish Trade Ministry, and the Halal Accreditation Agency.

Attended by top representatives from the Turkish and Saudi business communities, the forum highlighted new business areas, sectoral opportunities, and investment prospects to increase trade volume. Discussions also included strategic investment opportunities, measures to enhance bilateral trade, and models for long-term economic cooperation.

The forum underscored the growth of the global halal market and the competitive strengths shared by both countries in this sector.
