Bradley Rink
- Associate Professor of Human Geography, University of the Western Cape
Bradley Rink is a human geographer in the Department of Geography, Environmental Studies & Tourism at the University of the Western Cape (UWC). His research and teaching focus on urban place-making, mobilities, and relational aspects of movement and circulation in African cities. His recent outputs have been published in leading journals within his field including Mobilities, Transfers, Urban Studies, Geoforum and Tourism Geographies as well as various edited collections. He is Co-Editor-in-Chief of Urban Forum (Springer Nature) and serves on the Editorial Boards of Mobilities and Journal of Urban Mobility. He is a founding member of UWC's Migration and Mobilities Interdisciplinary Collective in Africa (MMICA) and African Urban Mobility Network, and currently serves as South African project lead for a Volvo Research and Education Foundations (VREF) funded project investigating young men's experiences of walking in low income neighbourhoods of Cape Town and London. He is a TAU Fellow, the recipient of the 2017 CHE-HELTASA National Excellence in Teaching and Learning Award, and a Royal Geographical Society Wiley Digital Archive Digital Research Fellow (2021).
