Xosé M. Núñez Seixas

Xosé M. Núñez Seixas studied History at the Universities of Santiago de Compostela and Dijon, and obtained his PhD in Modern History at the European University Institute (Florence). He is full professor of Modern and Contemporary History at the Universidade de Santiago de Compostela (USC) since 2007; between 2012 and 2017 he has also taught at Ludwig-Maximilians Universität (Munich). He has also been recurrent guest professor at the College of Europe (Natolin), as well as at Stanford University, City University of New York, Universität Bielefeld, Università di Torino, and Université Paris VII and X (Nanterre). His main areas of research are comparative nationaism and regionalism, the cultural history of war and violence, the memory of dictatorship and migration studies.
