South Korean Rescue Teams Recover Bodies from Collapsed Power Plant
(MENAFN) Rescue crews in South Korea have retrieved a fifth body from the debris of a fallen boiler tower at a thermal power station in the southeastern city of Ulsan, local media outlets reported.
The recovery came after controlled demolitions of two additional boiler towers on Tuesday, operations that were conducted to facilitate the search for three workers who remain missing following the collapse, according to a news agency.
The No. 5 tower gave way last Thursday, trapping seven employees in the process. To date, five bodies have been recovered, while two individuals are still missing.
Fire authorities stated that one of the remaining workers has been found, but is presumed deceased.
