Military Refutes Enemy Fake News About Marines Surrendering In Pokrovsk Direction
“The information spread by Russian enemy media resources about the alleged 'surrender' of servicemen of the 38th Separate Marine Brigade in the area of the village of Myrnohrad (Pokrovsk direction) is part of an information and psychological operation,” Zavtonov said.
According to him, the enemy uses such disinformation precisely where it has the greatest tactical problems, trying to compensate for them by putting pressure on topics that are sensitive to Ukrainian society in order to spread panic and undermine confidence in the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
Zavtonov stressed that the target of this information attack is not only military personnel, but also the families of Ukrainian defenders. The enemy uses the same methods, in particular emotional agitation, insinuations, and“lists” designed to cause anxiety and undermine faith in the strength of Ukrainian units.
“We officially announce that the servicemen of the 38th separate brigade did not surrender,” the spokesman stressed.
