IIHF Selects Kuwaiti Referee Al-Hindal For Women's World Championship 2026

KUWAIT, Nov 12 (KUNA) -- Kuwait Winter Games Club President Fhaid Al-Ajmi announced on Wednesday that Kuwaiti referee Shoug Al-Hindal was chosen to officiate at the U18 Women's World Championship 2026 Division III in Thailand next January.
Al-Ajmi said that the International Ice Hockey Federation (IIHF) chose Al-Hindal for the second time after her success in the last edition of the championship which reflects the excellence of national talents in this sport and strengthens the role of Kuwaiti ice hockey internationally.
He expressed his belief that referee Al-Hindal will deliver an outstanding performance and will bring honor to Kuwaiti ice hockey at this major international sporting event.
For her part, Al-Hindal expressed her pride in being the first Kuwaiti referee to participate in such high-level event for two consecutive times and expressed her readiness to exert her atmost effort to present Kuwaiti Ice Hockey in the best way possible.
She added that her successful participation in officiating the previous edition of the championship will motivate her to achieve even greater success in the upcoming tournament. (end)
