Turkey’s benchmark stock index opens higher midweek


(MENAFN) Türkiye’s main stock index, the BIST 100, started Wednesday at 10,655.66 points, marking a 0.75% increase, or 79.21 points.

On Tuesday, the index had fallen 1.97%, closing at 10,576.45 points, with daily trading reaching 174.5 billion Turkish liras (approximately $4.13 billion).

As of 10:10 a.m. local time (07:10 GMT), exchange rates were 42.2420 Turkish liras per US dollar, 48.9740 per euro, and 55.5660 per British pound. Gold was priced at $4,123.10 per ounce, while Brent crude oil traded at $64.8 per barrel.
