Leaders Extend Condolences to Türkiye After Military Plane Crash
(MENAFN) Several nations and world leaders on Tuesday expressed their sympathies to Türkiye after a Turkish military transport aircraft tragically went down in Georgia.
The President of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC), Tufan Erhurman, voiced deep regret over the catastrophe, stating that he learned of the incident “with great sadness.”
He also extended his wishes for strength and endurance to “the families, loved ones, and the people of Türkiye.”
Prime Minister Unal Ustel and Foreign Minister Tahsin Ertugruloglu likewise conveyed their condolences, emphasizing the Turkish Cypriot community’s unity with Türkiye and offering prayers for the fallen servicemen.
Qatar’s Emir, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, transmitted a condolence message to Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, expressing sorrow over the loss of lives caused by the crash.
Similarly, Kazakhstan’s President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev sent a note to the Turkish leader, offering his “deep condolences” to the Turkish nation and to the relatives of the victims.
Pakistan’s Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif voiced his grief on X, the U.S.-based social media platform, saying he was “saddened by the tragic crash of the Turkish C-130 aircraft in Georgia.”
“Heartfelt condolences to my dear brother President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, the families of those on board and to our Turkish brothers and sisters. Our thoughts and prayers are with them in this moment of grief,” he added.
