Dubai: Indian Teen Dies After Falling From Building While Taking Photos
An Indian teenager died after falling from the top of a building in the UAE earlier this week. Mishaal Mohammed, hailing from the southern Indian state of Kerala, was visiting his cousin in Dubai when the tragic accident occurred.
According to M.K., a social worker dealing with the case, the 19-year-old was a photography enthusiast.“He was staying with his cousin's family in an apartment in Hor Al Anz,” he said.“From the third-floor terrace of the building, there was a clear view of planes and he trying to take photographs of it. Somehow, he tripped on a pole and fell from the building.”

The only son to his parents, Mishaal was one among three siblings and is survived by his parents and two sisters. He had come to the UAE on a visit visa late last month to meet his cousin when the tragedy occurred.
M.K. said that the formalities to repatriate the body are almost completed and that it would be flown to India early on Wednesday morning for his final rites.“His family described him as a young and ambitious boy,” he said.“It is a tragedy that his life was cut short so suddenly.”
This is the second incident of a teenager falling to death this year. In April, a 17-year-old student awaiting his Grade 12 results died after falling from his residential the building. Alex Binoy, a student at Abu Dhabi Indian School, fell from his third-floor apartment in Abu Dhabi.
