Türkiye’s Main Stock Index Starts with Modest Gains
(MENAFN) Türkiye’s principal stock exchange began trading on Monday at 10,974.29 points, marking a 0.46% or 49.76-point rise.
On the previous trading day, Friday, the BIST 100 declined by 1.34%, ending the session at 10,924.53 points with a daily trading volume of 144.7 billion Turkish liras (equivalent to $3.42 billion).
At 10:20 a.m. local time (0720GMT), foreign exchange rates were recorded at 42.2290 Turkish liras per US dollar, 48.7950 per euro, and 55.5260 per British pound.
Meanwhile, the price of an ounce of gold was $4,073.40, whereas Brent crude oil was being traded at $63.95 per barrel.
