Power Outages Reported In Three Regions Due To Russian Attacks Ukrenergo

(MENAFN- UkrinForm) “During the past day, the enemy carried out strikes on energy facilities in several regions. As a result, as of this morning, users in the Zaporizhzhia, Dnipropetrovsk and Odesa regions remain without power. Energy crews are doing everything possible to repair the damage and restore power to all consumers as quickly as possible. Emergency repair works are being carried out in compliance with safety requirements and after obtaining the necessary permits from the military,” the statement reads.

Throughout the day on 11 November, capacity restriction schedules for industry and hourly outage schedules in volumes of two to four groups are being applied.

Electricity consumption in Ukraine as of 09:30 on Tuesday was 2.6% higher than at the same time the previous day. This is due to cloudy weather with rain in most regions of Ukraine, which lowers the efficiency of household solar power plants and leads to increased electricity consumption from the general grid.

“The need to use electricity sparingly will remain throughout the day today. Please limit the use of high-power electrical appliances and shift energy-intensive activities to nighttime hours, when the load on the power system is lowest,” Ukrenergo advises.

As reported, Ukraine reached an agreement with ENTSO-E to increase in December the maximum transmission capacity of cross-border interconnections for electricity imports from 2.1 GW to 2.3 GW.
