Ukraine Agrees On Increasing Electricity Imports From Europe In December
“For next month, an agreement has already been reached with European system operators to increase the available import capacity to 2,300 MW,” Zaichenko said.
At the same time, he noted that Ukraine is currently unable to fully use the available 2.1 GW due to constraints in the power system. Energy specialists are currently working to eliminate these limitations.
According to Zaichenko, imports are currently carried out in volumes demanded by businesses to avoid capacity restrictions.
As reported, in October, compared with September, Ukraine increased electricity imports 2.5-fold to 360 thousand MWh, while exports decreased by 85% to 90.8 thousand MWh.
