SBI Uncovered Crimes That Caused Nearly UAH 13B In Losses
"The State Bureau of Investigation continues systematic efforts to combat crimes that harm the state budget, economic security, and the country's defense capability. From January to October 2025, SBI employees documented offenses that caused UAH 12 billion 793 million in losses to the state. The total amount of bribes received by suspects in criminal cases exceeded UAH 44 million," the statement said.
To recover damages, investigators seized assets of suspects and defendants worth UAH 1 billion 850 million. More than UAH 2 billion 532 million have already been returned to the state budget.
In particular, the SBI secured the confiscation of assets belonging to former Interior Minister Vitaliy Zakharchenko worth over UAH 400 million.
Based on the Bureau's materials, a court ruled that the assets of the family of a former head of a district military recruitment and social support center in Kharkiv were unjustified. In addition, UAH 15 million found during a search of a former Party of Regions MP were transferred to the Asset Recovery and Management Agency (ARMA).

Based on SBI materials, a court also froze UAH 1.5 billion belonging to a former MP, which were then handed over to ARMA.
As Ukrinform reported, since the start of Russia's full-scale war, the State Bureau of Investigation has opened more than 2,800 criminal cases related to crimes against Ukraine's national security.
