Traffic Plan In Place For Budgam For Polling Day

Srinagar- In view of the upcoming bye-elections for the 27-Budgam Assembly Constituency, the Traffic Police Rural Kashmir has issued a comprehensive traffic advisory to facilitate the smooth movement of polling staff, election materials, and general vehicular traffic in and around Budgam town.

According to the advisory issued by the office of the Senior Superintendent of Police, Traffic Rural Kashmir, specific route plans have been drawn up for November 10 and 11 to streamline logistics and avoid congestion during the crucial election period.

Under Route-01, on November 10, vehicles moving from Beerwah, Nasrulla Pora, Soibugh, Bemina, Khumani Chowk, and Mirgund towards Budgam will follow the route:
Nasrullapora – Soibugh – Bemina – Khumani Chowk – Mirgund – Railway Approach Road Srinagar – New Bus Stand Budgam between 07:00 hours and 00:00 hours.

Similarly, under Route-02, on November 11, vehicular movement from Main Chowk Budgam towards DC Office, Mirgund, Beerwah, and Bemina will follow the route:
Main Chowk Budgam – Railway Station Budgam – Reshipora – Beerwah – Sebdan – Bemina between 07:00 hours and 00:00 hours.

Officials said these arrangements have been put in place to ensure a hassle-free distribution and collection of polling materials and to facilitate the smooth movement of polling personnel.
