Ukrainian Forces Refute Russian Claims Of Advancing In Vovchansk
“While the Russians create myths about their victory, we will ruthlessly destroy those myths,” the statement reads.
According to the propagandist Telegram channel Severny Veter, Russian forces are allegedly advancing 150–700 meters every day. After adding up the figures for September and October, supporters of Russian aggression claim an advance of 6,600 meters in September and 10,400 meters in October, that is around 17 km over two months.
For comparison, the actual length of the city of Vovchansk along the north–south axis is about 7.5 km, while its width (west–east) is around 3 km.
“Apparently, the Russian army has invented its own alternative meter to measure its 'advance',” the Kharkiv group noted.
Thus, the real scale of Russia's movement in Vovchansk does not match propagandists' claims and remains insignificant.
