George Buchanan
- Deputy Dean, School of Computing Technologies, RMIT University
George Buchanan is Professor and Deputy Dean for Research in the School of Computing Technologies at RMIT University. George has been researching how people find, choose, interact with and use information for over twenty years. He pioneered interaction design on mobile phones, particularly for mobile web use, and has created a number of technical innovations to better support finding information in large collections. His current research focuses on browsing large collections, and tackling misinformation.
Prior to a career in academia, George founded a successful software house serving the design industry. His academic interests also include digital health, and ethical issues in interactive technologies.
