Alliance Air Launches 'Fare Se Fursat' Fixed Airfare Scheme Ahead Of Diwali 10 Points You Need To Know


(MENAFN- Live Mint) Ahead of Diwali, Government-owned Alliance Air launched the“Fare se Fursat” fixed airfare scheme. Let's take a look at key details of the newly launched scheme.

  • Civil Aviation minister Rammohan Naidu Kinjarapu inaugurated the grand event on October 13, announcing the freedom from stress of fluctuating airfares .
  • This initiative has been launched to promote the ease of flying in the country.

  • Several notable dignitaries were present at the launch event, including, Civil Aviation Secretary Samir Kumar Sinha, Alliance Air Chairman Amit Kumar and Alliance Air CEO Rajarshi Sen.
  • “Alliance Air will offer a single, fixed fare that remains constant regardless of the booking date , even on the day of departure,” the Press Information Bureau (PIB) release stated.
  • Till December 31, 2025, this initiative will be implemented on a pilot basis across select routes. This test phase will enable the responsible authority to evaluate its operational feasibility and passenger response.
  • Rammohan Naidu Kinjarapu said,“The 'Fare Se Fursat' scheme perfectly aligns with the core principles of the UDAN scheme.... democratizing aviation and making it affordable for the middle class, lower-middle class and neo-middle class.”

  • “We have launched Udan Yatri Cafes offering tea for ₹10, coffee for ₹20 and snacks for ₹20 at airports,” adding, he said,“The idea of One Route, One Fair is truly 'Naye Bharat ki Udaan' thinking beyond profitability and keeping the focus on public service .”
  • The static fare system will address the major concern of passengers and ensure fixed airfare even for last-minute bookings.
  • Once the One Route One Fare scheme is launched, passengers who travel to and from tier 2 and tier 3 cities will benefit the most from Alliance Air's Fare se Fursat scheme.
  • Pointing to UDAN cafes that aim to provide affordable food and beverages at airports across India, Rammohan Naidu on Monday emphasised that his focus has been to make aviation more“people friendly.”

Aligning with under the union government's Ude Desh ka Aam Nagrik (UDAN) scheme, India's designated flag carrier Alliance Air operates short and medium-route flights. It primarily connects tier 2 and tier 3 cities.
