(MENAFN- Amman Net) The wife of Jordanian citizen Raed Sabri Hamad, 50, renewed her urgent appeal to the Jordanian authorities, represented by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates, as well as to King Abdullah II, to intervene in the case of her husband's disappearance in Russia, seeking mercy for her situation and that of her children.

In exclusive remarks to Amman Net, the wife stated that Russian parties informed her of her husband's death, although she has lost contact with him since September 23, after he was reportedly deceived into participating in the ongoing war in Ukraine.

She explained that her husband had previously applied via Telegram for a job announced by a Russian entity, which involved working in the Russian Ministry of Defense as a cook, driver, or administrative employee. However, upon his arrival, he was unexpectedly placed with a group of“mercenaries” fighting alongside the Russian army.

The wife added that her husband and those accompanying him were forced to sign contracts hastily upon arrival, which later defined them as“combatants and fighters”, not civilian employees as they had been initially told.

She also noted that the enticements offered before traveling included promises of Russian passports, independent houses, and lifelong salaries, which she described as a deliberate trap to recruit them.

The wife concluded her appeal by urging the Jordanian government to intervene immediately and coordinate with the Russian Foreign Ministry to verify her husband's status and that of his companions, and to work on returning them safely to Jordan, emphasizing that what happened was“deception and entrapment” that requires urgent official action.
