China gives away dental treatment chairs to Cambodia

(MENAFN) China donated two state-of-the-art dental treatment chairs to Cambodia on Monday to enhance oral healthcare services for children, Xinhua reported. The donation came from the Hainan Provincial Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC-Hainan) and was delivered to the National Pediatric Hospital of Cambodia through the Doctor Alliance of the Union of Youth Federations of Cambodia.

Heng Sokkung, secretary of state for Cambodia’s Ministry of Industry, Science, Technology and Innovation, highlighted the donation as a symbol of China’s ongoing support for Cambodia’s healthcare sector. “Cambodia and China are ‘iron-clad’ friends,” he said, emphasizing the countries’ long-standing cooperation.

Nhip Angkeabos, director of the National Pediatric Hospital, thanked China for its continued support, noting that the new equipment will improve the quality and efficiency of dental care for children. Officials attending the handover included Lin Yingzi, secretary of the Party Committee of CDC-Hainan, and Chen Cong, minister-counsellor of the Chinese Embassy in Cambodia.

The donation reflects China’s broader commitment to modernizing Cambodia’s health services and strengthening bilateral ties.
