Reflecting on the transformation of India's automobile sector, the Prime Minister noted that exports had grown from around Rs 50,000 crore in 2014 to Rs 1.2 lakh crore annually.
He pointed out that India has moved beyond exporting cars to also supplying metro coaches, rail coaches, and locomotives.
“India is now going to export electric vehicles to 100 countries of the world. A very big programme related to this will be held on August 26,” he said.
