TUNIS, July 4 (KUNA) -- Kuwaiti Assistant Foreign Minister for Human Rights Affairs, Ambassador Sheikha Jawaher Ibrahim Duaij Al-Sabah, and Tunisian Minister of Family, Women, Children and Seniors Asma Jabri discussed boosting joint cooperation.
This came on the occasion of Sheikha Jawaher Al-Sabah's participation in the high-level Arab regional meeting held in the Tunisian capital in preparation for the Second World Summit for Social Development, scheduled for next November in the Qatari capital, Doha.
The meeting, which took place on Thursday, addressed the exchange of shared expertise and best practices in the fields of women, children, families, and the elderly.
Sheikha Jawaher visited the Center for Research, Studies, Documentation, and Information on Women (CREDIF), which documents the journey and struggle of Tunisian women throughout history.
She also visited the National Observatory on Violence against Women, learning about its mechanisms and methodology for dealing with cases of abused women.
Sheikha Jawaher praised the efforts of CREDIF Center for the well-deserved and accomplished journey of Tunisian women, expressing admiration for the services provided by the Women's Observatory, which contribute to protecting women from violence. (end)
