Two Dead, 21 Injured In Poltava After Russian Attack


(MENAFN- UkrinForm) This was reported on Telegram by the acting mayor of Poltava, Kateryna Yamshchikova, according to Ukrinform.

“We are dealing with the aftermath of the enemy attack in the Poltava community. We are responding quickly: two city headquarters have been set up, all relevant services are working, hundreds of employees and dozens of pieces of equipment are involved. As of now, there have been 21 requests for medical assistance,” Yamshchikova said.

According to her, the consequences of the Russian attack are still being assessed, namely: damaged buildings are being inspected, specialists are talking to residents, and psychological assistance is being provided to those affected.

Yamshchikova added that volunteer organizations joined in to help: the Red Cross, Proliska, Free and Unbreakable, and Right to Protection.

City hospitals are operating without interruption. All victims are receiving the necessary assistance.

Public transportation has been temporarily adjusted to facilitate the work of emergency services.

According to Yamshchikova, more than 20 buildings of various forms of ownership, more than 100 windows, nine residential apartment buildings, seven private homes, one educational institution, a business building, and dozens of private cars have been damaged.

She noted that information about the damage is being clarified.

As reported by Ukrinform, the Russians attacked the Poltava TCC and SP building with strike drones . Two people were reported dead and 11 wounded.
