Village Level Worker Killed In Road Accident In J & K's Doda


(MENAFN- Kashmir Observer) Jammu- A motorcyclist was killed after colliding with a truck in the Puldoda area of Doda district of Jammu and Kashmir on Thursday.

Officials said that a motorcyclist lost his life after his motorbike collided with truck at Puldoda.

The deceased has been identified as Sanjay Kumar, a resident of Jagota Khothi, Chirala. By profession, he was a Village Level Worker and Secretary of Panchayat Udhyanpur; he was on his way to duty when the incident occurred.

The police have arrested the truck driver and a case has been registered in this regard and investigation has been taken up.

Meanwhile, two tourists from Rajasthan were injured after their vehicle met with an accident near Ramsu on the Jammu-Srinagar National Highway (NH44) on Thursday.

An official said that the injured were immediately provided first aid and shifted in an ambulance from PHC Ramsu to Sub-District Hospital (SDH) Banihal for further treatment.

The injured have been identified as Karthik Sharma, 27, son of Govind Sharma, resident of Mansar, Rajasthan, and Navin Kumar, 35, son of Manpal, hailing from Jaipur, Rajasthan, he said.

Their condition is said to be stable, and police have taken cognizance of the incident. (with GNS, JKNS inputs)
